Up-to-date and directly applicable in daily work. The course is designed for people who work at an oil refinery, in oil storage and transhipment or in the oil trade. Many technical aspects are discussed, but this course is also extremely suitable for non-technically skilled people. After this course you will have specialist knowledge about the quality specifications and characteristics of fuels and other oil products. You also have a thorough insight into the processing of crude oil into its products. This course allows you to communicate specifically with specialists in the crude oil industry and trade.

Course content

The online course program covers the following topics:

• Introduction, in which the necessary knowledge of petroleum chemistry is also taught
• The refinery processes, treated insofar as they affect the properties of the products (e.g. the difference between straight-run and cracked products)
• Properties and specifications of gasoline and biogasoline components
• Properties and specifications of kerosene and gas oil and biodiesel
• Properties and specifications of fuel oil

The participant will receive the PowerPoint slides with notes in advance as a PDF and a Certificate afterwards. The course manual (140 pages) can also be ordered at an additional fee.
